Tulsa Roofing FAQ: Answers from Local Experts
Storm damage and roof replacement come with a lot of questions. This Tulsa roofing FAQ answers the ones we hear most often, from how insurance claims actually work to whether impact-resistant shingles are worth it. If your question is not here, call us. We would rather answer it than have you guess.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes. We hold Oklahoma License #80004379 and carry general liability and workers’ compensation insurance. We will email you a copy of the certificate before any work starts.
Do you use subcontractors or your own crews?
We use local crews we have worked with for years. James or a project manager visits the site during the build to make sure the work meets our standard. We do not hire day laborers off a corner.
My insurance check is less than your estimate. What do I do?
That is normal. The first check is usually the Actual Cash Value minus your deductible. When the work is done, we send a Certificate of Completion to your insurer, which releases the second check for recoverable depreciation. We handle that paperwork so you get everything you are owed.
Do you offer financing?
Yes. A new roof is a big expense, so we partner with a lender to offer monthly payment plans. Ask about current rates during your free inspection, or read more on our financing page.
Can you install a roof in the winter?
Yes, with care. Asphalt shingles need warmth to seal. Below 40°F we hand-seal the shingles or wait for a sunny day so the adhesive activates. We never install with rain or snow in the immediate forecast.
What is the difference between a repair and a replacement?
A repair fixes a specific problem, like a leak or missing shingles, to extend the roof’s life. A replacement strips the roof to the deck and installs a new system. We only recommend replacement when a storm has totaled the roof or it is at the end of its life.
